GOLD FILLED 14 CARAT AND 18 CARAT
What is Gold Filled?
In Gold Filled, gold is rolled onto a base material such as brass in a mechanical process and permanently bonded to the base metal at welding temperature. Here, the gold layer is 100 times thicker than with classic gold plating, making the jewelry water-resistant or even waterproof. Because of this high quality, Gold Filled jewelry is also suitable for allergy sufferers who can only tolerate pure gold.
Where is Gold Filled made?
At Simply O, we source our Gold Filled from the USA, where the process is primarily used. There, quality control is subject to the Federal Trade Commission. By law, Gold Filled jewelry must contain 5% gold (by weight) to be categorized as such. Jewelry is also stamped with the karat number (e.g. 14k GF) for this reason.
Is Gold Filled durable and long lasting?
Gold Filled jewelry can last at least 10-15 years with proper care. Since the outer layer of gold hardly wears off with use and care, the products are hardly different from those made of solid gold. Thus, the jewelry not only has the same visual appearance as pure gold, it also has a very long life and is recyclable.

18 KARAT FINE GOLD
In some of our jewelry we use 18 carat (585) fine gold elements, which come from manufacturing in Germany or antique handwork from the Asian region.
925 STERLING SILVER
In some of our jewelry we use 925 sterling silver from manufacturing in Germany.
PEARLS AND PRECIOUS STONES
In our creations we attach great importance to the highest quality of gemstones and pearls, which we select with great care. The colored gemstones and pearls are natural products, so each one has its unique shape, color and light reflection; thus they are unique pieces created by nature. For our jewelry pieces like earrings and pendants, we try to match the pearls as best as possible, although slight variations in size, color and shape cannot be avoided.
